Someone in my book club called it “Lexi-Maxxing” meaning intense portrayal of all the things I love in a book: nasty language, depictions of power dynamics, ambiguous ending, and internet culture coded. The main character / is someone experiencing identities of extreme privilege and extreme marginalization. She has an encounter with someone with….. complimentary identities?
