I Hope We Choose Love: A Trans Girl's Notes from the End of the World
It’s important to read this one in emotional bursts. Sometimes a chapter, or sometimes only a few pages at a time. There was so much that I could relate to (and a lot that wasn’t for me, but was beautiful to witness). I was also challenged, and I felt enlightened in a way that somehow felt downward. Like noticing roots, and wisdom.
I’ll never think of justice the same. This is a book that you can’t help but carry with you because it’s sticky in an affirming way??? Queer community, the harm that still can happen, and what it means to drop the shame and blame tactics.
