Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith
How this author had me so engaged listening to over 6 hours of Mormon history is beyond me. I didn’t get through the show, but this nonfiction from the early 2000’s is really something.
The FLDS / Mormonism info is interesting, but you should read it because it talks about psychosis, delusion, mental health, culture, and revelation in a way that is still so hard to find in 2026. I was pretty amazed by the authors openness and nuance and found it aged incredibly well.
